I was browsing Yahoo News and saw this article. I can still remember those preachers who kept on scolding us during the Pride March that we were sinners and we should repent. Well, cast the first stone if you are not a sinner.
Hating LGBT people is a sin, and in fact, HATE is a deadly sin. :) Loving someone with all your heart is not a sin, it is a GIFT from God. It's just that, we love someone with the same gender as we do. And the social standards of morality based on religious beliefs and other personal prejudices are saying that it's wrong.
For this pastor, he's not living the way a preacher of the word of God should be. Same goes to those who are haters of the LGBT community. Why not spread love instead? Isn't that what God told us to do? The God who represents Love and eternal goodness?
Should we forgive him? Of course we should, that's what God told us to do. Because we won't be forgiven if we won't forgive as well, right? As the LGBT Community, we should know when to be humble enough to any detractors. As planned for the upcoming Pride March, I would rather offer bread to the haters instead of fighting back. The more you will struggle, the more resistance you shall have. This is not about a battle of social acceptance anymore, it's how we can influence the society and show them that we are humans as well, created equally in the eyes of God.

For years, New Orleans area residents have known self-proclaimed "Christian patriot" Grant Storms as a religious crusader who has tirelessly tried to rid the city's French Quarter of homosexual influence--specifically its "Southern Decadence" festival. The celebration, often called the "gay Mardi Gras," draws homosexuals from around the country each Labor Day weekend.
But the 53 year-old Storms has joined the ever-growing fraternity of evangelical moralists whose hypocrisy is exposed through an embarrassing sex scandal. And today he offered an olive branch to the gay community.
